Description:
It is 1953 on the Plains Division, First District of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe. From the division point of Waynoka, Oklahoma, tonnage must traverse Curtis Hill to reach Woodward, Oklahoma. Helpers are necessary to boost the numerous freights over one of Santa Fe’s notorious bottlenecks. This 38 mile segment is the focus of a 12x 32 layout located in its own building. Also modeled is the Missouri -Kansas-Texas interchange at Woodward. Layout is a folded dog bone design with a seven level helix used to connect to a hidden staging yard and reverse loop. Track work is complete and scenery is being steadily added.
Operation:
Easy DCC is used for control. Car forwarding uses car cards and waybills. Operations are governed by a fast clock. Plans are to install a telephone communication and timetable/train order operation in the future
