New Layout Just Underway! The Gulf, Colorado, and Santa Fe in Dallas in the early 1960s is the theme of this railroad. Focus of the railroad operations will be the East Dallas Yard and local interchange, particularly the Rock Island and Kansas City Southern Railroad is 25 x 35 with additional staging in a separate room. Construction is planned to begin in March, with a goal of having some track laid by convention time. This is an excellent opportunity to see the planning necessary to construct a large model railroad. Pay particular attention to efforts to light the layout and room preparation. These items are essential but often overlooked in the haste to get rains running.
