Hi everyone!
Things are happening and we're really excited about your 2009 LSR Convention, "The Trinity River Interchange".
Just check out the rest of this website and you'll see what I mean. Lot's going on with over 50 clinics being taught by the best in model railroading, 39 layout tours from Z to G scale, great prototype tours, and the gals in non-rail have planned a ton of fun stuff for all of the ladies! In fact... there's something fantastic happening everywhere you look...a wonderful FREE train ride, a very special guest speaker, great food, a Super Tour, and the list just keeps going and going and going!
AND THERE'S GOOD NEWS FOR THIS YEAR: Be sure to check out the new "on-line" registration with Pay-Pal, making it easier then ever for you and your family to join in on all of the fun in Dallas/Ft. Worth this June.
And speaking of registration, you'll note that the "Facilities Usage" fee has been reduced to $25 instead of the $50 that was on the original registration form. Hopefully you understand what the charge is for. If not, see the explanation on the bottom of the registration form. Anyway, between most of you who have already registered making reservations with rooms included and some new sponsorship participation, your 2009 Convention Committee has decided to reduce the fee back to "what it has always been" for the past several years, $25.

Hi everyone.
I hope you are making plans to join all the fun this June at the Trinity River Interchange. I know Divisions 1 & 3 are planning lots of fun activities for you! You can expect 5 GREAT days of trains, socializing, and even a chance to learning a thing or two to improve your modeling.
How could you ask for more then that?

I’ll keep this short and sweet since there’s lots of stuff from the “Convention Team Committees”.
Just a reminder the Trinity River Interchange will be the 3rd to the 7th of June, 2009, and the host hotel for your LSR Regional Convention in DFW this year will be the Sheraton Grand, just north of the DFW airport on Hwy 114.

Wow, what a great convention in Houston! Those Iron Horse-8 folks really know how to put on a Texas Style Shindig!. All of the regular activities and a catered Bar-BQ at Zube Park where we each had the opportunity to ride live-steam trains… What great fun! Guys & gals of Division 8, you did a fantastic job and certainly set the bar high for us next year!

As you have probably already heard, Divisions 1 and 3 of the Lone Star Region will be hosting the 2009 Lone Star Region Convention in the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex area. It will be called: The “Trinity River Interchange”. Since your host for next year will be a team effort of both Divisions 1 and 3, we thought it only appropriate to use the Promontory icon where East met West as our logo.
