Layout Tours - Steve Willis

We’ve got a train load of layouts for you to see (pardon the pun)! There will be new layouts that have never been on tour before, layouts of all scales, layouts of all sizes from small to very large, and there’ll be some old favorites that you’ll just have to revisit to see what‘s been changed or added.

There will be so many layouts you can stay busy just visiting them. We are even going to have some layouts open on Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon so you can stop and see them as you come into town or on your way home. Now how’s that for packing in a train load of fun!

OK, we know gas prices are going to be an issue, so we’re doing something about it! Here are some of the things we have in works to help out;

1. Scheduling layout tours throughout the convention
2. Trying to have layouts grouped in the same area to minimize driving time
3. Scheduling around common rush hour bottlenecks or timing the tour to avoid them completely
4. Scheduling popular layouts more than once
5. Early and late tours on Wednesday and Sunday so you can see layouts on your way in and on the way home
6. Finding the fastest routes to get you from one layout to the next
7. The Super Tour (s) where you can relax and leave the driving to, well, someone else then click here.

And for those that just don’t want to drive around the Metroplex we’ll have the “Super Tour” bus available.
